Thanks for the "outline" of the ongoing abuse by catholic priests. In the Fall of 2001 I had a flashback to my abuse as a Deacon in 1970. From 2001-2005 I rationalized my presence in ministry. That was until Cardinal George mishandled the McCormack case. At that point I had to make a moral decision NOT to be an apostle of bishops who lied and coveted more their checkbooks than they did the souls of those who were injured by their own mishandling of predatory pedophile priests. I continue to suffer -- not just from the abuse, but from the fact that I can no longer minister in a church that I had given my life to.
